Rectocaps™

Rectocaps™ are suppository-shaped soft shell capsules with a lubricating film layer for rectal delivery of the drug.

Advantages of Rectocaps™

• These suppositories are coated and are easy to apply.
• They offer the logical alternative when a drug cannot be swallowed, because of e.g. nausea, vomiting and swallowing difficulties, or because a high dose has to be used.
• It is an ideal dosage form for babies and children.
• Retrocaps™ are stable in the tropics. Unlike ordinary suppositories made with hard fat, Rectocaps™ retain their shape and action even at high ambient temperatures. This is particularly important for any preparation that is distributed in tropical countries, where they do not always have refrigerators for storing pharmaceuticals.
